Exhausted...

Holy Moly I am Tired.

I thought it was bad during the first trimester but this is ridiculous.

Busy season is in full swing and I can already feel it. I am at basically scheduled at a client everyday until the week before I'm due. And along with being at these clients comes: Full audits, another set of financial statements to be done, and half the time the tax return.

Normally I don't mind busy season that much (I say this now, but Travis would probably tell you how fun it is to live with me during past busy seasons). You just mentally prepare to be working every night and at least one day a weekend (60+ hours). Luckily my company lets all of this night/weekend work happen at home. It's a rough few months, but having Fridays off (paid) the other 6 months of the year and all the other perks our company offers MORE than makes up for it.

This busy season however, is going to kick my butt.

I remember reading this quote during my first few weeks and kinda laughing. But now I feel like this is even more true during the last 2 months!
"Imagine staying up all night, running a marathon, then doing three hundred loads of laundry, and raking leaves off a football field all in one day. How tired would you be? That's how tired I felt EVERY day in my first trimester."
-Jenny McCarthy

Between busy season and everything else on my mind,
it's a miracle I haven't missed any deadlines yet!

28 Week Bumpdate

Officially in my 3rd trimester!

How far along: 28 weeks

Size of baby: According to thebump.com baby is the size of a rutabaga!

Maternity Clothes: Most of the time everything I wear is maternity. I still wear some of my old dress pants to work with the belly band, but it's getting harder to hide the zipper! I am very thankful my sister saved all hers so I have a bunch to choose from.

Stretch Marks: None yet. Thank goodness these are genetic and not based on lotions/oils you use. Cause I'm pretty sure I have put stuff on my belly less than 10 times so far.

Gender: Baby Boy!

Movement: A ton! It used to only be first thing in the morning and at night laying in bed, but its pretty consistent throughout the day now.

Best Moment this week: Getting the baby's room and our office painted! and putting the crib together last night! And officially in my third trimester.

Looking forward to: Getting the rest of the baby's put together (furniture wise) so I can start decorating.

Food cravings: any and all cereal. There was a day or two a few weeks back that I ate cereal for all 3 meals. Also, I can't stop drinking milk, orange juice and Jamba Juice!

Anything make you queasy or sick: Nothing thank goodness!

Labor Signs: I have had a few Braxton hicks here and there but no labor signs.

What I miss: rolling over comfortably at night without waking up and finding something I want to wear quickly.

Sleep: Pretty good, just waking up every time I want to roll over and crazy dreams!

Symptoms: growing belly and really achy feet after walking around too long

Baby Room: All painted, crib set up, ordered dresser, about to order glider. Now just to organize and decorate.

Belly Button: Still staying in so far

Wedding Rings on or off: On. But that last few days my feet and hands have been a little swollen and they have been feeling kinda tight by the end of the day.

What I am looking forward to: trying to agree on a name for this baby and my next appointment!

Bumpdate Catch Up

I haven't updated with a baby post since 16 weeks... This is more for me so I have some pictures all in one place of my pregnancy, so bear with me!

18 weeks
The night before we left for Green Bay.
When I thought for sure I was huge and showing. Yea right.

Finally had to take out my belly button piercing

I finally felt some strong kicks the morning of our anatomy ultrasound. I had been feeling some really small ones for a while but that morning they were very strong!

23 weeks
In Telluride

 23 week belly

After I got home from Telluride, Travis was finally able to feel the kicks from the outside.

24 Weeks

At 25 weeks I had my blood glucose test, and minus the sitting and waiting for an hour after forgetting my book, it wasn't bad. They said no news is good news and I haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming I'm good to go.

25 weeks

25 week belly

26 Weeks
The kicks are constant and very strong now. Just in the last few days they almost make me jump how strong and sudden they come. There has also been some pushing out of body parts, especially 1st thing in the morning. It's not just a kick anymore, its something pushing out of my belly and staying there... This kinda freaks Travis out :)

Hopefully I will do a better job of updating this in the future... although who knows cause you can see how long using my cute chalkboard lasted :)

Life Latley

Wow... I'm really bad at this blog thing. I have had every intention of updating this blog weekly. Look how well that turned out... almost two months later.

Lets see... what has been going on since October?

October:

We celebrated our one year anniversary with a low key night at home. Pizza, nonalcoholic champagne, and fantasy football...

Pizza, Champagne, Fantasy Football :)

My sister made us the sweetest wine crate for our wedding with a bottle of wine for each big event the first year or two of marriage. We drank the baby one that night!

The top of our cake (a snicker doodle cake)... it was actually still really good!

We went to a Halloween party and I was at an awkward phase. Not big enough to do any of the cute pregnancy costumes, but just big enough to feel silly in anything tight. I decided to be a cat and wear the zip up onesie I already had! I may do this every Halloween from here on...

November:

We went to Green Bay to watch the Packers play Chicago! It was such a fun trip with some of our best friends the Shaklees! The trip basically included all football the entire 5 days and thank goodness the weather was nice!

Here are few of the highlights:

On the top deck of Lambeau Field... the highest point in the City.

At 21 weeks we had our full anatomy scan and then we had a gender reveal party the weekend before Thanksgiving... It's a Boy!
Travis and I decided to find out what the baby is by ourselves and then tell our family the after.
We had both our families over to our house for dinner and decorated in pink and blue. After dinner we went outside and opened a big box filled with blue balloons. The highlight was definitely when the balloons came out and my 4 year old twin nieces started bawling uncontrollably. They are in their "I hate all boys" phase. The crying lasted a good 20 minutes, until we convinced them they can help us name him.

Side note: Kyla picked the name Aiden after a boy in her class she "doesn't hate."
Avery picked H. Just the letter H. When my sister asked if she was trying to spell it she said no and asked what the babies "end name" would be. When my sister said "Fuller," she said "yea I like it... H Fuller".
We are keeping our options open.

Girl won by votes.

According to Wives tales it was a girl as well

The rest of the month pretty much consisted of working a ton and Thanksgiving (which I took zero picture of)!

December:

I started the month in Telluride for a week for work. It was fun but very cold and snowy. I'm glad that it was (probably) my last time traveling for work this pregnancy. Normally I am in Durango for 3 weeks, Nebraska for a week, Alamosa for a week and Aspen/Breck for at least a week all between March and May. This year will most likely only be Aspen because of flying so close to my due date. I'm not complaining one bit.

Christmas was wonderful and spent with both of our families. It's still hard to split holidays between Travis and I's families, but I am very grateful we get to see both on holidays.

Again I did an awesome job of using my new DSLR camera Travis got me for my birthday and took zero pictures...
This just officially became my new years resolution.

See you all next year...
